ISRO Officials confirms GSLV Launch was made successfully. The Launch Vehicle took a perfect take off this evening. However, it may take 2 days for the vehicle to move in the orbit its was destioned.
2 Coolies died in an accident in a Cement Mine at Kisthipadu of Anantapur district. The injured were joined in Gutti Public Hospital.
State Minister Sri Vidhyadhar Rao said that the Government of Andhra Pradesh will be promoting Bio Technology besides Information Technology to the full extent. He said that a Bio-Technology Park and Knowledge Park will be setup soon.
Regional Passport Authorities confirmed that Kottula Samayya was given to him only after going through correct procedures only. A Passport Official said that Intelligence Report, MRO Residence Certificate and all other reports were clear and there was no objection from granting a passport to him. However, he said that the mentioning of incorrect Residential address was detected and the concerned officials were alerted of the same.
3 Naxals including a Women Naxal belonging to the Rajanna gang were killed in an encounter in Warangal. Two members of the police were badly injured in the encounter and were immediately admitted to the hospital.
2 Lakhs worth of Jewelry was decoited at AP Mahesh Co-Operative Urban Bank near Dilsukhnagar and a bank employee was killed when the Bank Officials were transferring the jewelry to another bank in an auto.

All India Council for Technical Education issued Viability Letters to 26 Educational Institutions in the state to offer Master of Computer Applications (MCA) in their colleges. With this each college will be allowed to offer 40 seats for the MCA Course. Of the 174 colleges that applied for this, the Government gave 'No Objection Notice' to only 28 colleges.
Retired Director of Doordarshan Smt. Jai Chandi Ram was nominated as the Advisor for the State run Television Channel.
Prof. A S Arya, Professor of the Earthquake Engineering Department at Rourkee University said that India does not have the technical know-how to construction quake-prone buildings and said that we need to get the same from Japanese technology companies. He spoke at a training program on Earthquake resistant design of buildings organised by Engineering Staff College of India in Hyderabad.
