A Ministerial Meeting was held today at Hyderabad to discuss the various programs being undertaken by the state Government. The committee decided to request for the Report by Subcommittee in regard to Weavers problems in the state in 4 days time. Minister Sri N Siva Prasad spoke at a press conference and detailed on the topics being discussed. He said that the District Collectors will be given more powers for Neeru-Meeru program so that they are flexible to execute the works immediately. The meeting also discussed on FCI procurement of food grains from farmers among others.
The State Marketing Department collected Rs. 207 Crores as Market fees as against to the estimated Rs 195 Crores. This figure was about Rs. 44 Crores more than the previous financial year.
Chief Minister Sri Chandrababu Naidu said that Indian Manufacturers have stand competitive to the Chinese Manufacturers in terms of product quality and costs. He spoke at the South Region Annual Regional Meet on Competitiveness in New Economy in Hyderabad. He also inaugurated the websites of CIISR.ORG and GREENBUSINESSCENTRE.ORG
Governor Sri Rangarajan gave away Degree Certificates to 3295 Graduate, Post-Graduate and Research Scholars at the 17th Convocation of Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University in Hyderabad. Vice Chancellor Prof Y Venkataramireddy, and Deputy Director of IIT, Prof C R Muthukrishnan and other were also present.
