The A.P Cabinet approved the recommendations of a high level task force headed by the Chief Secretary for expanding and expediting short gestation gas-based power projects with a total capacity of 1499 MW in the first phase.

Central Minister Sri Shanta Kumar makes visits to various market yards in the state. He had a bad taste when the farmers started to raise slogans saying the FCI is not looking into their problems. The Minister later on met the Chief Minister and discussed on the possibilities of procuring food grains.

Central Government ordered the Government to immediately look into and start procuring of food grains from Farmers in the state. He said that Government of Andhra Pradesh and FCI will be procuring 10 Lakhs Tones of Food grains initially.

Minister for Primary Education says that the Government is considering the move of Primary Schools in the state to be upgraded to Upper Primary Schools.
