Lawrence Tsong to Help Grow TransUnion's Business in Region

CHICAGO and HONG KONG, Aug. 25 /PRNewswire/ -- TransUnion has named Lawrence Tsong president of its operations in East Asia, a new role he has accepted in addition to maintaining the managing director role for the company's Hong Kong operations. In this new role effective immediately, Mr. Tsong greatly expands his responsibility for promoting and growing TransUnion's credit information and analytic and decisioning business throughout the region.

Mr. Tsong joined TransUnion in 2007 and has been an integral part of the company's growth in Hong Kong, managing the day-to-day operations and the introducing the use of advanced analytic and decisioning solutions to the financial markets.

"Since Lawrence joined TransUnion, he has made major contributions and built strategic relationships in the credit markets in Hong Kong and throughout the region," said Andrew Knight, president of TransUnion's international division. Prior to joining TransUnion, Mr. Tsong was first vice president of United Overseas Bank group where he was responsible for establishing and managing the credit card business. From 1984 to 1998, he held various positions with American Express, the last one being the director of relationship management for the company in East Asia. In this role, he was accountable for long-term strategic card and merchant partnership programs, concentrating in the airline, hotel and retail merchant sectors.

Mr. Tsong holds a Bachelor of Social Science degree from the University of Hong Kong.
