TIANJIN, China, Sept. 17 /Xinhua-PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Yayi International Inc. (''Yayi Intl.'' or the ''Company'') (OTC Bulletin Board: AHLN) today reaffirmed its commitment to product quality and safety, and will strictly control all the operational procedures to make sure that no contaminated infant formula milk powder products will be provided by the Company. This announcement is triggered by the event in China that the infant formula milk powder produced by ''Sanlu'', the best selling Chinese milk brand, was contaminated with melamine. As a result, more than one thousand children who have taken the contaminated milk powder have contracted kidney illnesses, including two deaths.
In the latest report published by China's Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine (AQSIQ) on September 16, 2008, it was revealed that the infant formula milk powder products of 22 dairy manufacturers (website of the list attached below) were tested and found contaminated by melamine. Meanwhile, another 87 dairy manufacturers inspected were announced safe. Among the 87 manufacturers, the Company's wholly invested subsidiary, Tianjin Yayi Industrial Co., Ltd., was listed as the 78th (website of the list attached below).

Ms. Liu Li, the Chairlady and Chief Executive Officer of Yayi Intl., stated: ''Product quality and safety have always been the concern of Yayi, and the safety and health of consumers have always been at the forefront of our minds. In our production process, we have been applying in-house standards which are higher than the national standards. We have also continued to improve our in-house standards along with our development. As a manufacturer of infant formula milk powder products, we are very clear and serious about the social commitments we are undertaking, and we have been committed to both the production and distribution of our products.''
The 22 manufacturers disclosed as contaminated include most of the top ten dairy manufacturers in China, which are all encountering credit crisis. Meanwhile, Yayi Intl.'s pass of the inspection has provided a permit for Yayi Intl. to grab more market share in China's infant formula milk powder market. Ms. Liu Li stated: ''After the event of melamine contamination, the market demand for our products is growing and a special opportunity for development is in front of us. We will stick to our high product quality and provide consumers with more reliable products.''
