BEIJING, Sept. 17 /Xinhua-PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- China Shen Zhou Mining & Resources, Inc. (Amex: SHZ) (''Shen Zhou'', or ''the Company''), a leading company engaged in the exploration, development, mining and processing of fluorite, zinc, lead, copper, and other nonferrous metals in China, today announced that production has increased at its fluorite processing plant at its Xiangzhen Mining Plant, located in Inner Mongolia.

The current processing capacity is approximately 500 tons per day. The average grade for refined fluorite powder is above 96%, and the recovery ratio is approximately 70%. Up to now, the Company has begun shipping some of its qualified refined fluorite powder from the Xiangzhen Plant to its clients in Ning Xia Hui Nationality Autonomous Region, west of China.
