MassMutual Appoints Rod Dillman President of MassMutual International

SPRINGFIELD, Mass., Sept. 11 /PRNewswire/ -- Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Company (MassMutual) announced today that Rodney J. Dillman has been appointed President of MassMutual International LLC and Senior Vice President of MassMutual.

Mr. Dillman will have responsibility for MassMutual International LLC, the holding company for MassMutual's international insurance subsidiaries. Mr. Dillman was most recently General Counsel at Babson Capital Management LLC, a MassMutual subsidiary, and Corporate Vice President and Associate General Counsel at MassMutual.

He will be succeeded as General Counsel at Babson by Trish Walsh, who will remain as Corporate Vice President in MassMutual's Law Division.

Mr. Dillman, in his new role at MassMutual, will report to Elaine A. Sarsynski, Chairman and CEO of MassMutual International and Executive Vice President and head of MassMutual's Retirement Services business.

MassMutual International has expanded over the past decade through the acquisition of several well-established firms, and now offers insurance and other financial products to more than 1.9 million people in Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau, Luxembourg and Chile.

Mr. Dillman joined Babson Capital in 2000, and has since held a number of senior legal and leadership positions at both Babson Capital and MassMutual. Currently, Mr. Dillman serves as the Chief Investment Lawyer for MassMutual and manages the Investment Law Group of MassMutual's Law Division. He also serves on a number of corporate boards, including MassMutual International, Jefferies Finance LLC, and The MassMutual Trust Company, FSB.

Prior to joining Babson Capital, Mr. Dillman was a partner at Day, Berry & Howard LLP (now Day Pitney LLP) in Hartford.

Mr. Dillman holds a J.D. from Duke University School of Law and holds a B.S. in Education and an M.A. in Economics from Kent State University. He is a member of the Connecticut and Massachusetts Bar Associations, as well as the Association of Life Insurance Counsel, the American College of Investment Counsel, and the American College of Real Estate Lawyers. He resides in Suffield, Conn.
