HONG KONG, Sept. 8 /Xinhua-PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- NetDragon Websoft Inc., one of the PRC's leading game developers and operators (''NetDragon'' or the ''Company'', with its subsidiary collectively know as the ''Group''; stock code: 777.HK), today announces that it has repurchased an aggregated 2,328,000 shares in its capital in 4 rounds between 3 September 2008 and 8 September 2008 inclusive.
The shares were repurchased at an average price of HK$5.07 for a total amount of HK$11,819,565.
Mr. Liu Dejian, Chairman and Executive Director of NetDragon, said, ''We believe the repurchase is in the benefit of the Company and our shareholders, reflecting our continued commitment to increase shareholder value and our view that the current share price levels do not truly reflect NetDragon's potential value. We aim to enhance our returns on equity to reward our shareholders for their continuous support. In light of the ongoing growth of our business, and taking into account the interests of our shareholders, the Group will not rule out the possibility of making further buybacks where appropriate. However, the timing and extent of any further purchases will depend upon market conditions.''
