SHANGHAI, Aug. 28 /Xinhua-PRNewswire/ -- Organized by the Society of Automotive Engineers of China (SAE-China), Telematics@China, the first Telematics & Traffic Information Service Summit in China will be held on December 12th at Shanghai Huating Hotel & Towers.

NaviForum will support Telematics@China as its agenda partner. Many world renowned players and experts in the industry have been successfully invited to be speakers, including Chinese government delegates, SAIC Motor, BMW, GM, Nissan, Toyota, Audi, Chrysler, OnStar, Continental, Delphi, AutoNavi, et al. The industry leading players as represented by GM OnStar and Toyota G-BOOK will share their strategic plans, business deployment, and service modes about automotive informationization and Telematics services. Innovative companies like BMW will introduce its new open Telematics framework "NGTP" etc, and explore how to bring them into China. Top consulting and research firms including Gartner and SBD will give insightful views on how to adapt world Telematics experience with the Chinese local market.

The Telematics@China event is coincident with the Chinese auto industry commemorating the 30th anniversary of China's Reform and Opening-up. "After 30 years of reform and opening-up, the Chinese automobile industry has come into the era of informationization. Not only should automakers provide high-quality vehicles and after services, they should provide related information services, letting automobile drivers enjoy information services like mobile phone users and have safer and more comfortable driving experiences," says Mr. Xiaoyu Zhang. "Holding Telematics@China at the right moment is immensely significant for the Chinese auto industry."
