Global industry leaders and MIT faculty will discuss cutting-edge research and best practices in risk management for global product delivery at MIT's risk management conference on March 11-12, 2008.
Presentations for the day-and-half event will provide highlights of the latest research by MIT faculty and presentations on risk management strategies and tactics by top executives from Velcro USA, IBM, Cisco Systems, GM, Xerox, and the US Navy. A central focus will be how to use a "birth-to-earth" lifecycle approach to managing risk, beginning with product design and development through manufacturing, delivery, customer service, and recycling.
Keynote speakers include Joan M. Cullinane, President of Velcro USA and Nicholas Donofrio, IBM's EVP of Innovation and Technology.
