Citadel Investment Group, L.L.C. today announced that Patrik Edsparr will join the firm in the role of CEO for Citadel Europe. Mr. Edsparr will also lead Citadel's global fixed income business, including securitized products.

Mr. Edsparr will join Citadel from JPMorgan Chase, where he was a member of the executive committee and held a number of leadership roles, including the global head of rates, FX, securitized products, fixed-income, exotics and hybrids, propriety trading and principal investments. Prior to joining JPMorgan Chase in 1996, Mr. Edsparr was with Lehman Brothers in mortgage derivative strategies.

Mr. Edsparr received his master's of science in applied mathematics from The Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, an MBA from the Stockholm School of Economics, and a PhD in finance from MIT.
