Molex Expands its Board of Directors; Joe W. Laymon Rejoins

Molex Incorporated (NASDAQ: MOLX)(NASDAQ: MOLXA), a global electronic components company, announced that Joe W. Laymon has been appointed to its board of directors. Mr. Laymon, 55, is Group Vice President, Corporate Human Resources and Labor Affairs, for Ford Motor Company. Mr. Laymon previously served on Molex's board from 2002 to 2006. His election expands the Molex Board to 13 directors, including eight outside directors.

Mr. Laymon is the third outside director to be appointed in the past nine months. On September 26, 2007, the Board elected James S. Metcalf as a member. Mr. Metcalf, 49, has served as president and chief operating officer of USG Corporation, a leading manufacturer and distributor of building material and products, since 2006. And on May 11, 2007, Kazumasa Kusaka, an executive advisor to Dentsu Inc., a leading advertising agency in Japan, and a special advisor to the Japanese Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, was appointed to the Molex board of directors.

Mr. Laymon joined Ford Motor Company as executive director, Human Resources Business Operations in March 2000 and was promoted to his present position in 2004. Prior to joining Ford, he held senior human resources positions at Xerox Corporation and Eastman Kodak.

Mr. Metcalf joined USG in 1980 and has held numerous executive positions including Executive Vice President, Building Systems; President and Chief Executive Officer, L&W Supply, and Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, L&W Supply.

Prior to his current positions, Mr. Kusaka held various positions with the government of Japan, including Vice Minister for International Affairs, Head of the Agency for Natural Resources and Energy, and Director-General of the Trade Policy Bureau of the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry.
