Ixia (NASDAQ:XXIA), a leading global provider of IP performance test systems, announced that it has appointed Naveen Bhat to the new position of vice president, Asia Pacific, reporting to Alan Grahame, senior vice president, Worldwide Sales.
Dr. Bhat worked as independent consultant extensively in the Asia Pacific region in sales and marketing roles. Previously, he served as vice president and general manager for Asia, at Agilent Technologies for the communications segment. Prior to that, he served as director, Network Operations Software Division, Asia Pacific, at Lucent, where he was responsible for sales, marketing, delivery and support. Dr. Bhat earned a doctorate from the University of Maryland and his bachelor's of engineering from NIIT in India.
"Naveen has consistently developed businesses into very profitable enterprises," said Grahame. "With his extensive experience in Japan and Asia, he will be able to champion Ixia's growth in these key markets. Our goal is to hire the best executive talent available and grow aggressively in Asia."
Dr. Bhat will continue to live and work in Singapore.
