The inaugural five-day OS Summit Asia 2007 conference is the first time Hong Kong and China have played host to such a large open source community gathering.
With open source software (OSS) rapidly growing in popularity in the region, this community summit, the first joint conference between The Apache Software Foundation and the Eclipse Foundation, is expected to be a vibrant event, encouraging a lively exchange of ideas between all those involved in OSS, including developers, vendors and users.

Li Gong: The Open Source Spirit and the Future of China's Internet
Li Gong is Chairman and CEO of Mozilla Online Ltd, a China-based subsidiary of the Mozilla Corporation. He has worked as Managing Director of MSN Technologies, the China unit of the worldwide business group MSN at Microsoft, Chief Java Security Architect of Sun Microsystems and founding Co-President of Mozilla China Foundation. Li was named one of the 2003 China New Economy People by China Internet Weekly and Sina, and received the China Open Source Movement Leadership Award in 2003 given by CCID and the China Software Industry Association.
Dafan Yang: Data Tools Platform (DTP) enablement training
Dafan Yang is a software engineer at Sybase's research and development centre in Shanghai. Dafan has worked for more than two years on the Database Development Tooling project, a core part of Sybase's Eclipse-based WorkSpace(R) product. He has previously spoken at EclipseCon 2007 about the Eclipse DTP (Data Tools Platform).
Brian Behlendorf: 10 Things You Might Not Know About Open Source
Brian Behlendorf is a founding member of the Apache Software Foundation. Brian also was a founder of CollabNet Inc where he served as CTO and still acts as a board member and advisor. Brian is on the board of the Mozilla Foundation.

Mike Milinkovich is the executive director of the Eclipse Foundation. In the past, he has held key management positions with Oracle, WebGain, The Object People, and Object Technology International Inc.

J Aaron Farr currently serves on the Apache Software Foundation (ASF) board of directors and as the ASF's treasurer. He has contributed to the Avalon, Excalibur, Incubator and Labs projects. Jervis Liu and Johnson Ma: Distributed Agile Development

Greg Stein is the Uber Tech Lead/Manager at Google, working on their open source efforts and is chairman of the Apache Software Foundation. Prior to that, Stein was a director of engineering at CollabNet, a development manager at Microsoft and co-founder of eShop, which was acquired by Microsoft.
