FSA Announces Program for Semiconductor Leaders Forum TAIWAN

Taipei, Taiwan

FSA, the voice of the global fabless business model, today announced the program for its fourth annual FSA Semiconductor Leaders Forum TAIWAN, which will be held Nov. 7 at the Taipei International Convention Center in Taipei.

The Forum will include two keynote addresses given by Dr. Rick Tsai, president and chief executive officer, TSMC and Dr. C Y Lu, chairman, Ardentec and president, Macronix International Co.

In the morning of the Forum, Dr. Tsai will deliver his keynote titled "Winning Together through Deeper Collaboration."

Dr. Lu will present the afternoon keynote address, "The New Paradigm and Challenge of the Semiconductor Test Industry." He will discuss the challenge of keeping pace with technological change during a time of a paradigm shift in testing.

The full day of educational programming will also include presentations from the following featured speakers:

-- Dr. Craig Barratt, president and chief executive officer, Atheros Communications, Inc. - "Pursuit of the Innovative
Edge: A Wireless Semiconductor Perspective"

-- Dr. Chi-Foon Chan, president and chief operating officer, Synopsys, Inc. - "Semiconductor and EDA Challenges: Still Lots to Solve!"

-- Warren East, chief executive officer, ARM - "Enhancing IP Access For Fabless Companies"

Jodi Shelton, executive director of FSA, and Dr. Nicky Lu, president and chief executive officer, Etron Technology, will open the event with their welcome remarks. In addition, the Forum will feature a luncheon workshop focused on "Low Power Design," sponsored by Cadence Design Systems.

An exhibition showcasing suppliers covering assembly, test and failure analysis; business information systems; design software and services; foundry services and intellectual property will run parallel to the educational sessions. The exhibition will provide an update for semiconductor professionals on the latest technology and service offerings.
