Founded in 1997 as a partnership between Dr. Thomas Heinemeyer, Holger Karas, Dr. Edgar Wingender, Dr. Ingmar Reuter, the company's main goal was to provide researchers a means to take advantage of the vast amount of gene expression data being published in the scientific literature.
