COPAN Systems Welcomes Rod Evans to EMEA Team

Chertsey, England, United Kingdom

COPAN Systems, the leader in persistent data storage based upon its intelligent, enterprise-class enhanced MAID (Massive Array of Idle Disks) platform, has appointed Rod Evans as Vice President for Channels and Business Development to the company's EMEA team. Evans will take responsibility for COPAN's emerging channel partner business across Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA), as well as the indirect sales of all COPAN solutions outside France, Germany, and the UK. With a successful career in the storage and technology industry that spans over 20 years, Evans brings strong leadership to the channel sales operation and supports COPAN's international expansion and push for leadership in the international storage industry.

"We're very pleased to have attracted an executive of Rod's caliber and experience to our international sales organization," said Garry Veale, senior vice president of International Sales and Services for COPAN Systems. "Rod will champion our EMEA Channel sales strategy at a time when COPAN's business is growing rapidly in the EMEA and Asia-Pacific markets. As enterprise customers across the globe deploy our solutions to reduce the cost and complexity of storage environments, Rod will help COPAN expand its sales presence to meet the needs of our customers."

Evans joins COPAN from Intel Corporation, where he was responsible for the development of their IT consultancy business across Europe. During his time with Intel, Evans opened new sales operations in Benelux and France and grew revenues by 200 percent over a two-year period. Prior to that, he held several key sales positions within EMC Corporation over five years including EMEA sales director for Network Attached Storage Products and global practice manager for Networked Storage Services. He will report directly to Garry Veale, senior vice president of International Sales and Services.

"The COPAN value proposition is very compelling, and I'm excited to be joining at a time of rapid growth and expansion," said Evans. "COPAN's channel sales program has proven to be very well received in North America, and I am committed to provide the same high level of support and opportunity to our EMEA channel."
