Promo Only Ends Relationship with Destiny Media Technologies

Promo Only today announced that following lengthy negotiations it has dissolved its relationship with Destiny Media Technologies and the operation of the former Promo Only MPE System.

Orlando, Florida (PRWEB) March 8, 2007 -- Promo Only today announced that following lengthy negotiations it has dissolved its relationship with Destiny Media Technologies and the operation of the former Promo Only MPE System. Promo Only was unable to reach a common long-term strategic plan for the future with Destiny Media Technologies regarding service to the music industry and subsequently parted company with its former technology vendor.

Promo Only has been the driving force behind the development and deployment of digital distribution in the US music industry since 2004. Despite encountering initial industry skepticism when launching the service, the company remained focused and committed to its mission of finding innovative and more efficient methods for record labels to deliver content to radio.

In less than three years, Promo Only has achieved record milestones having digitally distributed more than 36,000 tracks on behalf of 750 labels. Through established relationships from its fifteen year history, Promo Only educated the broadcast industry on the benefits of digital distribution and paved the way for a digital future.

“Following lengthy discussions, it was a tough decision, but we eventually chose to end our relationship with Destiny Media Technologies and our partnership with the MPE System,” said Jim Robinson, Co-founder and CEO of Promo Only.

“We had a strong three years together but because of fundamental differences on our views of the music industry, the time has come for Promo Only to distance itself from Destiny Media Technologies and the MPE System. We want to thank all of our partners for their support while we were involved. Promo Only will continue to serve the music industry as vigorously as ever and looks forward to developing more innovative and ground-breaking projects in the near future,” added Robinson.
