Atlanta's Premier Event Designer J Patrick Brings Signature Vision to the NCAA Men's Final Four Championship

Master Event Planner Tapped by Coke-a-Cola and AT&T to Create VIP Environments

LOS ANGELES, CA (PRWeb) March 30, 2007 -- As March Madness reaches a feverish pitch this weekend when the NCAA Men's Final Four makes a highly anticipated return to Atlanta for the third time in 30 years, it's clear that the Final Four's Corporate Champions AT&T, Coca-Cola, and Pontiac have chosen the nation's finest design talent to transform the Georgia Dome and Centennial Olympic Park into world class venues befitting one of the year's top sports events.

J Patrick of J Patrick Designs was recruited by AT&T and Coke to conceive, design, and install VIP lounges that compliment and reflect the sponsors' corporate logos and identities. The lounges will also serve as side-stages, where American Idol's Ryan Seacrest and others will reportedly interview sports figures, athletes and celebrities throughout the widely-viewed three day event beginning March 31 to April 2. From his home in Atlanta, J Patrick explained that his objective was to create distinctive lighting installations, floral displays, and expressive furniture layouts that reflect the style and corporate personas of AT&T and Coke.

Industry insiders acknowledge that J Patrick's ability to transform faceless ballrooms and vacant venues into exquisitely designed environments infused with refreshing, often dramatic spectacle is an integral part of his design signature. Recently nominated for a prestigious Allie Award which honors the best event designs in the Southern states, J Patrick Designs received a nod for their concept and execution of the Ritz-Carlton's 21st Anniversary party, where the designer took an empty ballroom and recreated an authentic, live version of 1930's NYC. More than 200 guests dined in period restaurants, strolled quaint vintage shops, and toured Greenwich Village amid antique automobiles and street musicians performing '30s standards. As to what large-scale theme events offer J Patrick from a design standpoint, he said, "I want to initiate new ways of entertaining, new ways of using color, new ways of using things that we've been looking at for a long time."

Born in Sephor Japan to parents in the military, J Patrick moved with his family to his mother's native state of Georgia at an early age where he was exposed to multi-cultural disciplines in art, design, dance and performance in private military schools at Fort Benning. At age 17, armed with an Actors Equity Card, he arrived in NYC and launched a successful Broadway career when he won a coveted role in Ron Field's production of "Cabaret" featuring Joel Grey. After amassing more than 25 musical productions as a performer, he branched out into the fields of choreography and direction. J Patrick's creative vision and design reputation spread among production companies in the South and later, among foundations and major corporations. J Patrick Designs is a new company which began in June 2006.
