The application, available at http://www.wootagent.com, sits nested in the user's system tray and will automatically pop up as Woot places a new item for sale on their website. WootAgent uses tabbed browsing to simplify and separate content based on importance: a tab displaying "Today's Item," a "Description" tab, and WootAgent's special "Price Check" tab. WootAgent is almost completely customizable, giving the user the ability to see only the information most valuable to them

"Sometimes I'll log onto Woot at two in the morning and the item will be sold out already," says co-creator Steven Kovar. "We knew there were tons of other wooters out there who have this same problem -- missing out on great deals -- and we wanted to create a system better than anything else out there. I think we have." In one week, almost five hundred "wooters" have signed up to receive an email notification when WootAgent is released to the public. The application is being watched by major blogs like TechCrunch.com and JohnChow.com.
