"Business Driven Integration" is the Focus for 2007 Global Integration Summit

The Integration Consortium (IC) announces today the keynote speakers and presentations for their annual member event, the Global Integration Summit (GIS). The Summit takes place in Banff, Alberta, Canada on May 14 and 15, 2007.

Vienna, Virginia (PRWeb) March 28, 2007 -- The Integration Consortium (www.integrationconsortium.org) (IC) announces today the keynote speakers and presentations for their annual member event, the Global Integration Summit (GIS). The Summit takes place in Banff, Alberta, Canada on May 14 and 15, 2007.

The theme for 2007 - "Business Driven Integration" - is emphasized through 4 keynotes, 10 end user and solution provider presentations, and an End User Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) Panel, all focusing on the business benefits of technology, specifically integration.

The opening Keynote features Stephen Dent, Founder of Partnering Intelligence (www.partneringintelligence.com), presenting on "Creating Value for Your Business by Building Strong Alliances." Mr. Dent's presentation will include a comparison of Summit attendees' partnering behaviors and strategies to the industry norms. Other keynote presentation areas are on today's hot topics: "Justifying Strategic Infrastructure Investments," "SOA Predictions 2007" and "Abandoning Conventional Business Process Management as the Means to Represent Business Requirements."

John Schmidt, Integration Consortium & Global Integration Summit Chairman, says, "The Global Summit promises to be the premier conference in 2007 for architects and integrators from both the vendor and end user communities. The combination of Keynotes and Presentations, along with the networking opportunities available, equal a two day power-packed agenda that will not disappoint!"

The balance of the program features an end user SOA panel discussion and 10 presentations in 3 categories: Whitepapers, Case Studies, and SOA Best Practices. A peer review process by Integration Consortium members ensures only exceptionally high quality content is presented.

"The Call for Papers process we use to create the GIS program is unique," says Leanne MacDonald, IC Executive Director and GIS Event Manager. "Each submission is reviewed and critiqued by several IC members. Submissions are scored according to specific criteria, and the highest scoring authors are invited to present at the Summit. Our 'Awards For Excellence' program recognizes these individuals for their thought leadership, and attendee feedback is used to determine the overall favorite presentation. This process allows us to provide a program that is content rich for the benefit and education of our members and guests - you won't find any 'paid for presentations' on our program."

Corporate support from IC members makes this conference possible. The sponsorship deadline is April 2nd, 2007. Attendance at the GIS 2007 is limited. Early Registration discounts are in effect until April 13th.

The Global Integration Summit is the annual event of the Integration Consortium membership. The Summit allows for IC members to gather yearly, sharing best practices on a theme which is current and relevant to the integration industry at the time. Attendance is open to IC members and guests. For more information, visit www.globalintegrationsummit.com.
