Clearwave's Kiosk Solution taps Sun as Integration Partner

Clearwave announced today the purchase of Sun Microsystems integration and infrastructure product Sun Java Composite Application Platform Suite (Java CAPS).

ATLANTA (PRWeb) March 25, 2007 -- Clearwave (www.clearwaveinc.com), an innovator in simplifying healthcare administration through the use of a self-service kiosk, announced today the purchase of Sun Microsystems integration and infrastructure product Sun Java Composite Application Platform Suite (Java CAPS).

Under this agreement, Clearwave will use Java CAPS to integrate Clearwave's product suite to banks, insurance companies and physician office systems; such as Practice Management and Electronic Medical Record systems.

“The administration of healthcare is changing dramatically; banks, insurance companies, patients and physicians want data to be real-time, interoperable, stable and secure. Java CAPS extends Clearwave's capabilities to provide just that to the market,” said Gerard White, CEO of Clearwave. “In December of 2006 we released our new EDI system, which vastly improved the speed at which Clearwave connects to partners; Java CAPS will enhance our ability to reach other partners.”

Clearwave has built a real-time network that is connecting physicians, patients, insurance companies and banks. Clearwave believes the only way to truly create a secure data sharing product is by involving the patient. Through the Clearwave kiosk, patients are responsible for opening up their insurance, bank and personal health records. By involving the patient, the transactions become more secure while at the same time lowering the administrative tasks and costs for the physician.

“Real-time and self-service are coming to healthcare with Java CAPS Clearwave in position to be a major player in the data sharing business,” said White.
