Open to the public from noon to 11:30 p.m., this fundraising event, like Oprah's inspiration, will help support 65 members of the Marble Community Gospel Choir touring South Africa to support three sister churches in Soweto, an adult HIV/AIDS hospice and a day care center for children orphaned by HIV/AIDS. All proceeds from the Tour will benefit the South African charities.

This idea emerged from the series of meetings that have been organized over the past few years with these young dynamic South African leaders. The Marble Community Gospel Choir South Africa Tour will bring together dynamic leaders to express love, peace, friendship and healing through music. Early on it was evident that the South Africans were exceptionally committed and talented. They have a vision for the future of their country that they hope their generation can realize.

Early projections indicate 300 guests will experience a luxurious spa day of manicure, pedicure, massage, acupressure, Shiatsu, cream and sugar scrub, facials, makeup refresher (make over), and men's haircut to assist the choir in realizing that vision for the future.

The tour will be the first in-person dialogue, among the Marble Community Gospel Choir "Marble delegates" and the South African charities to explore how, together, we can address the critical problems, beyond the crucial financial support that Marble Collegiate Church has been providing for the last 7 years.
