The Impact Fund is a nonprofit organization that provides funding, representation and technical help in large, complex public interest litigation. Since its founding in 1999, The Impact Fund has been involved in high profile civil rights, poverty and environmental cases.

Anna Deaver Smith will be recognized at the event for her portrayal of racial issues in her work as a renowned actress, playwright, teacher and author. She has received two Tony nominations for her show, "Twilight: Los Angeles," about the 1992 Los Angeles riots, and played the Secretary of State on the TV series, West Wing.

Tim Fox and Amy Robertson of the Fox and Robertson law firm will also be honored for their pioneering work in the area of disability civil rights, including a settlement against the giant department store chain, Kmart (Lucas v. Kmart Corp., United States District Court for the District of Colorado, 99-cv-01923-JKL-CBS).
