International Sponsor Council Launched as World's First Trade Association for Corporate Sponsors

International Sponsor Council Launched As World's First Trade Association For Corporate Sponsors To assist corporations driving the global multi-billion sponsorship industry, the International Sponsor Council (ISC) has been formed as the world's first world trade association for corporate sponsors.

Atlanta (PRWeb) March 22, 2007 -- International Sponsor Council Launched As World's First Trade Association For Corporate Sponsors To assist corporations driving the global multi-billion sponsorship industry, the International Sponsor Council (ISC) has been formed as the world's first world trade association for corporate sponsors.

"As the first trade organization created for corporate sponsors, the International Sponsor Council provides a much needed platform for collaboration on improving sponsorship effectiveness through the recognition and leadership of common industry issues as well as the education and servicing of sponsor needs," said Mr. Terry Marks, President, North America Group, Coca-Cola Enterprises (CCE) and member of the ISC Board of Advisors.

"Sponsorship continues to grow at a fantastic rate, but sponsors need improved measurements and accountability to make sound business decisions," said Terry Cecil, ISC President & CEO. "As the centralized source of information for sponsors, the ISC will work to create unique value by organizing and managing the collective intelligence of sponsors. This shared education and focus will improve the return for sponsors which in turn will have a great impact on the sports and music industries as well as add tremendous value for consumers. The ISC will be a crucial ally for sponsor executives."

The ISC will represent the interests of sponsors and focus on issues they face such as the improvement of ROI measurement, ambush marketing, agency and event relations, the protection and observance of sponsor benefits, and standardizing industry practices.

To protect sponsors from potential liabilities, the ISC has co-developed ISC Vendor Vault with Intelligent Document Systems (www.intelligent-documents.com) a leading provider of specialized data, document management and vendor compliance technologies.

"Sponsors have expressed the need for assistance in reducing the threat of liability, the delivery of optimum performance and identifying flaws in vendor compliance," said David Cook, ISC Chief Operating Officer. "Vendor Vault will register vendors of sponsors including agencies, teams, leagues, agents and managers, events and other companies involved in the servicing of sponsors."

The ISC will review the results of its CEO Sponsorship Insight Survey at its Leadership Summit for its members in October, 2007.
