Manhunt In New York Area Stretches Nationwide Women Now Included In Search

People who made history happen being sought by publishing firm for original source material.

Palisades, NY (PRWeb) March 16, 2007 -- The search to find participants in historical events is underway by the History Publishing Company of Palisades, New York and is open to people in all fifty states and beyond. The publishing company, in the process of developing a series of books about Twentieth Century history authored by individuals who made a part of that history happen, is undertaking a unique process not commonly practiced in the publishing industry.

"History is really a vast collection of stories," said Don Bracken, History Publishing's CEO, "and we are looking for some stories of significance that would inform and entertain the reading public. Our program, unique to the industry, will work with the individual who made things happen. Our editors will work with that person to make the story a worthwhile book, one that libraries will appreciate and that students will later refer to as original source material."

A traditional publishing house, History Publishing will work with the author in book structure, content editing and all the necessaries of book production. The author's requirements are the writing of a draft and the participation in the promotion of the book. Royalty checks will be paid on a quarterly basis.

"We are proud to be bringing some outstanding books of history to the reading public in the forthcoming months," Bracken said." 'Hunting The American Terrorist' due out in June was written by Terry Turchie and Dr. Kathleen Puckett formerly of the FBI and is a fascinating account of their pursuit and capture of Ted Kaczynski, the Unabomber and the pursuit and containment of Eric Rudolph in the North Carolina woods. Another example is 'Legerdemain,' the remarkable account of Dr. Jim Heaphey and his mission to wrest Morocco away from the French colonial System in order to safeguard an airbase not only vital to the Strategic Air Command but was the site of a secret storage of atomic bombs unknown to the French"

Men and women authors who have made some history and would like to tell their stories are invited to go to the Contact page on History Publishing Company's website and connect with the editors. www.historypublishingco.com
