InfoSpace Extends Relationship with Verizon Wireless to Power Core Mobile Infrastructure

InfoSpace, Inc. (NASDAQ:INSP), a leading developer of mobile platform services, and Verizon Wireless, operator of the nation's most reliable wireless network, has announced an extended relationship in which InfoSpace will power core pieces of Verizon Wireless' mobile infrastructure, including its enhanced Mobile Web 2.0(SM) service, which allows customers to more easily access the latest news, tools and information. The combined offerings will provide mobile customers with faster, easier access to their favorite content and information, while increasing revenue opportunities for the leading wireless service provider.

Today's announcement extends InfoSpace's multi-year relationship with Verizon Wireless and reflects the increasing momentum surrounding the company's Mobile Services Platform. InfoSpace's relationship with Verizon Wireless includes key components of the platform's suite of services. InfoSpace provides hosting, infrastructure and subscription management capabilities from its platform to power Verizon Wireless' Mobile Web 2.0 service, which offers subscribers an up-to-the-minute look at the latest news spanning weather, sports, entertainment and more.
