Al DiFranco is pursuing a master's in leadership for higher education at the online university.

Minneapolis, MN (PRWEB) July 7, 2007 -- The Independent College Advancement Associates (ICAA) has named Al DiFranco its president-elect. The ICAA is a professional association made up of 90 independent colleges and universities, and 1,300 individual staff members, from Ohio and bordering states. DiFranco is the development officer for Baldwin-Wallace College in Ohio, and is also pursuing a master's degree in higher education leadership at Capella University, an accredited* online university. More than 1,000 teachers, principals, and superintendents have chosen Capella to earn their master's or doctoral degrees online.

In his role as president of the ICAA, DiFranco will serve as an ambassador for the member institutions at conferences and other events, and will facilitate the organization's regular meetings and workshops. The individual members of the ICAA include alumni affairs officers, development professionals, college administrators, and others.

DiFranco's term as ICAA president will officially begin after the organization's conference in July. He will serve a one-year term.
