KAL announced that China Everbright Bank (CEB), a nationwide commercial bank, has successfully completed the deployment of Kalignite multivendor automated teller machine (ATM) software across its entire estate.
In 2006 CEB decided to select an ATM multivendor software solution. It chose Kalignite based on its proven track record for multivendor ATM systems. The CEB ATM software project took just eight months from start to finish and was completely rolled out by November, 2006.

CEB has over 1250 ATMs now deployed running Windows XP and Kalignite. It plans to deploy 250 more by the end of 2007. CEB's estate includes 17 different models of ATMs (including cash recycling ATMs) made by six different manufacturers. As a result of the ATM software project, all of the ATMs run the same Kalignite-based application.
KAL's development partner in China, Shenzen Zijin, is the supplier of the ATM application, which is built on the Kalignite Platform.
