Technology Evangelist Debuts 'Instant Journalism' at 2007 CES Show in Las Vegas

This unique combination of "Instant Journalism" reporting used by Technology Evangelist provides a compelling mix of real-time, quick-to-publish reporting, technology editorials and in-depth interviews. This year's CES Show is the first time video voicemail has been used to solicit questions from consumers unable to attend the show themselves. Consumers now have the ability to ask questions, via video, of reporters attending the show and see their questions in video footage produced from the show. Technology Evangelist is using SightSpeed's free video voice mail service to accept questions from viewers.

Las Vegas, NV (PRWeb) January 8, 2007 -- Technology Evangelist, a technology news site based in Minneapolis, Minnesota, is covering the 2007 Consumer Electronics Show with cutting edge new-media strategies. Consumers now have the ability to ask questions, via video, of reporters attending the show and see their questions in video footage produced from the show. Technology Evangelist is using SightSpeed's free video voice mail service to accept questions from viewers.

Benjamin Higginbotham, the Director of the Technology Evangelist Team heading up the HD video coverage and video voicemail efforts, explains, "We want our viewers to join the conversation here at CES. And what better way for them to do it than by submitting their own questions using SightSpeed's Video Voice Mail?"

Peter Csathy, CEO of SightSpeed, said, "Allowing Technology Evangelist's audience to contribute video questions via SightSpeed Voice Mail changes the face of journalism."

Audio questions are being accepted from listeners and integrated into podcast shows as well. They are aggregated through Skype's free voicemail service.

Mobile photo blogging is also taking off this year with stories written and published, often with photos, directly from the show floor and press events. Fresh stories transmitted over EVDO Internet connections from the pockets of Technology Evangelist's news crew's mobile devices while they move from booth to booth throughout the day.

Ed Kohler, Executive Producer of Technology Evangelist, said, "Our combination of HD video interviews, community driven reporting based on video and audio voicemail and story comments, video and audio netcasts, and mobile blogging allows us to provide unique perspectives on the CES show not found in traditional media."
