Mosaic Harmony Presents Interfaith Concert Dedicated to Service Through Song

Mosaic Harmony, an award-winning, interracial, interfaith choir, will join other singers to perform a public concert on February 3, 2007. Oakton, VA (PRWeb) January 7, 2007 -- Mosaic Harmony, the award-winning, interracial, interfaith choir that was selected as a model program by the Clinton Administration's President's Initiative on Race, will join other singers to perform a public concert on February 3, 2007. The concert will be held at Oakcrest School, 850 Balls Hill Road, McLean, VA 22101, at 7:00p.m.

Since it debuted in 1993, Mosaic Harmony has raised tens of thousands of dollars for charities, including Habitat for Humanity, the Lakota Nation; organ donors; hospice; palliative care-givers; and HIV/AIDS orphans in Africa. The group gives free concerts to such groups as mentally ill adults, homeless women; seniors; and disturbed youth.

About 90 singers strong, Mosaic Harmony draws on the rich heritage of African-American spirituals to demonstrate and encourage unity in the midst of diversity. Members represent 17 faith traditions, and perform everything from traditional spirituals to new songs composed by their popular and dynamic director, David North.

The Interfaith Concert features special guests : the Washington Metropolitan Bahá'í Chorale and Tach'shitim, the Choir of Congregation Bet Mishpachah .
