EPAFactory Launches Biometric Enabled USB AccessStick™ for Citrix Gateway™ Users

EPAFactory announces integration of their AccessStick™ solution for the Citrix Access Gateway™ onto the Symwave biometric platform. This will allow users fingerprint authentication to their companies Citrix Access Gateway™ implementation.

San Diego CA, London, UK, and San Jose, CA, (PRWeb) January 30, 2007 -- Symwave Inc. (www.symwave.com) and EPAFactory (www.epafactory.com), the world's leading provider of custom end point analysis (EPA) scans for the Citrix Access Gateway™, today announced a technology partnership to integrate the EPAFactory USB based AccessStick™ onto the Symwave biometric hardware platform.

The EPAFactory AccessStick™ enables away from the office total security. This is achieved using their new application virtualisation & redirection tool called VirtuaWrapper™.

VirtuaWrapper™ gives an Organization the ability to simplify installing the components required to run and connect to Citrix Access Gateway.

"SSL VPN solutions generally install components into the local browser, and many customers have reported issues with their users trying to connect from locked down machines on third party sites. It's a common problem," commented Brian DaBinett, Director, EPAFactory. "A user simply plugs in their USB AccessStick™ to the PC, swipes a finger to authenticate, they are automatically taken to their Citrix Access Gateway logon page; the user experience is simple, secure and foolproof. There are no prompts, no fuss and more importantly, nothing installed on the local machine.

"This delivers away from the office total security whilst at the same time reducing support and administration costs of remote access," concluded DaBinett.

"The Holy Grail of SSL VPN is to leave a zero footprint on the desktop. AccessStick™ is the first remote access enablement technology to achieve it, by writing cache to the secure partition on the AccessStick™, When the user logs off, they simply remove the stick and there is nothing left behind on the machine," said Dave Coombes, Chief Architect, EPAFactory, "The solution also offers strong authentication through the recognition of each individual stick, use of biometric recognition of the user combined with the option of single sign-on. In addition, the biometric solution from Symwave enables secure file storage for the user, offering a complete remote access and data mobility platform."

Phil Montgomery, Director of Product Marketing, Citrix Access Gateway™ commented: "We are delighted to see the partner eco-system building around Citrix Access Gateway™ with great offerings such as the EPAFactory AccessStick™. We see this as validation of our position as market leaders."

He added, "I tried an early AccessStick™ beta and I was really impressed at how easy it made connectivity when working away from the office."

"EPAFactory's proven record of providing value-add solutions in the Citrix Access Gateway™ space has made them the partner of choice for us to work with as they introduce our robust fingerprint reconstruction technology and leading intellectual property position in the biometrics market," said Sudhakar Avula, Director of Marketing, Biometrics Products at Symwave. He continued, "Combined with Symwave's high performance BioPrint sensor family and expansive portfolio of reference designs it will help EPAFactory create the leading biometric solutions for the market place. This will enable their customers to deploy biometric systems within their Organizations with the assurance they are using the highest performance, most reliable solutions available."
