ATLPlaytime of Georgia Launches Therapist's Resource Site

New sponsored Therapist's Community Site is dedicated to providing information exchange for parents and professionals.

(PRWeb) January 29, 2007 -- ATLPlaytime today formally announced the launch of its dedicated Therapists Resource site.

Intended for professional therapists and parents alike, the new on-line informational exchange can be reached at www.ChildTherapyResources.com. Forums are provided there for therapists involved in rehabilitation and services to children as well as adults in all countries.

"These kinds of forums and informational exchanges are the 'better-side' of what the internet revolution is all about." said Barry Chickini, the program's sponsor. "Our intent is to promote informational exchanges on ideas, techniques, and methodologies among therapists. Parents and non-professionals alike can also subscribe and participate."

By promoting the discussion of specific techniques involving readily available retail products at affordable prices, the site hopes to put therapy techniques in the hands of everyone.

The site primary aim is that therapists, wherever he or she may be, can read what their colleagues are doing and can themselves take advantage of not only new ideas and techniques but also be able learn how to use new and inexpensive products in their practice. This will enable them to 'bring it home' to their own patients.

Through a program started earlier this year, licensed therapists may obtain free products in exchange for their sharing their methodologies. The complete details of that program are also available on the Child Therapy Resources site.

Chickini acknowledged that many issues face the therapist today from frustrations with government regulation to continual ongoing educational demands. This is on top of the daily issues with the healthcare system in general and concern for their patients. "I have yet to meet a therapist who was in it for the money," said Chickini, "These people are extremely dedicated to their science and their art. Most on their minds are their patients and their progress. We would like to do something for them to make it just a bit easier."

The site is open to everyone for participation. "We realize that therapist's are a pretty diverse group with specializations in both Physical and Mental disciplines, " said Barry Chickini, "so we wanted to make sure everyone has input. Even Clinics and Hospital Departments can benefit. But it's no secret that child therapy has a special place for us."
