Comedian, Actor and Radio Personality of the Tom Joyner Morning Show, J. Anthony Brown can now add filmmaker, director and producer to his long list of Hollywood credits.

Los Angeles, CA (PRWeb) January 28, 2007 -- Comedian, Actor and Radio Personality of The Tom Joyner Morning Show, J. Anthony Brown can now add filmmaker, director & producer to his long list of Hollywood credits. The Columbia, South Carolina native who now resides in Los Angeles, California submitted his documentary film short entitled "Tambourine Man" to the Pan African Film Festival where thousands will have the opportunity to screen the short at the AMC Magic Johnson Theatres in the Baldwin Hills Crenshaw Plaza (3650 Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd) Los Angeles, CA on Saturday, February 10, 2007 at 3:35pm and Tuesday, February 13, 2007 at 5:35pm.

Tambourine Man, a documentary by filmmaker J. Anthony Brown gives credit to an unsung hero, Jack "Blackjack" Ashford. He was the acclaimed tambourine player for the Funk Brothers. Their sound defined Motown in the 60's and 70's, he played on most of the Motown hits. The documentary follows the next generation of tambourine player, Willie Clifford who is dedicated on carrying on his tradition.

J. Anthony Brown is no stranger to directing, writing & producing his own comedy shorts. He's been producing comedy shorts through his production company, Watchoutdehnow Productions along with his producing teams Ye Ye Productions and Film Captive Productions. His hilarious comedy shorts such as "Phonestar," "Chief Cow," and "Eaters" have been seen throughout the country debuting on the Tom Joyner Sky Show, which aired through TV ONE network and the Tom Joyner Variety Show, which aired on the ABC network. His fans also get a special dose of these comedy shorts right before his many comedy performances.
