ToolKing.com Establishes Industry Best Practices Through Key Website Enhancements

ToolKing.com has replaced their prior.Net platform with J2EE to enhance the overall functionality and usability of their website. The J2EE technology will increase the speed at which consumers can navigate the site and make final purchases.

LAKEWOOD, Colo. (PRWeb) January 2, 2007 -- ToolKing.com, a distributor of consumer, professional, and industrial tools; announced today that they have replaced their prior .Net website platform with J2EE to enhance the overall functionality and usability of their website.

J2EE technology will improve the overall customer experience, by allowing the customer to efficiently navigate the site's products and make final purchases. "ToolKing.com is now robust enough for customers to search on any combination of keywords- and find the exact product they are looking for sorted by price, brand, and product category," explained managing partner, Don Cohen.

The J2EE platform is not only going to advance the ease of navigation, but it will increase sales on the backend. Consumers have traditionally been impatient with the purchasing process and have abandoned the shopping cart before making a purchase. With the help of J2EE, improvements have been made on the shopping cart that includes: more payment options, extended warranties, and the ability to make a purchase without having an account. These enhancements made on the cart are expected to increase the speed of check-out by 300%.

ToolKing.com has also upgraded the content on the site and will offer new resources that educate the customer on key product attributes. Product listings have been revamped to allow the customer access to more images and online videos, as well as access to buying guides, discussion boards and other useful information. A new 'Alert Me' is also now available that will alert customers on price drops on selected items.

Don Cohen commented, "Consumers need to feel confident that they are making the right purchasing decisions and they need this information in a timely manner. With these enhancements, our customers can easily navigate the site and drill down to the exact product they are looking for."

All of the enhancements and marketing initiatives implemented on the site will be tested to ensure that the customer is benefiting. These include everything from the visual appeal of the site to the ease of navigation. ToolKing.com has additionally implemented a proactive chat program that will identity customers that are having difficulties navigating the site, and invite them to talk with a sales representative.

"These enhancements are phase one of more to come. Future enhancements include further technological improvements along with a complete site redesign," added Cohen.
