CompatiblePoker Reports Neteller Drops InstaCash Option for Poker Players

According to the latest blog post at Compatiblepoker's US online poker news page players are reporting that Neteller has stopped allowing InstaCash for gambling transactions at online poker and gambling sites.

(PRWeb) January 17, 2007 -- The reports of Neteller stopping the use of their InstaCash feature for online gamblers based in the United States seems to be true according to the latest blog post at www.compatiblepoker.com/usa.php which tracks US online poker news.

Late Tuesday night a poker player tried to deposit at Poker Stars using Neteller Instacash. A prompt pop-up arose saying that Neteller's Instacash option has been discontinued by Neteller but regular Neteller deposits were still available. The same problem occurred at Full Tilt Poker. The incident was confirmed and blogged/posted at Compatiblepoker's US news page.

According to Compatiblepoker this did not come as a surprise. During the past few days Neteller's co-founders John Lefebvre and Steve Lawrence were arrested by the US government (http://301url.com/Complaint) and trading of Neteller's stock was suspended following the news.

Some online poker players believe Neteller will be leaving the US online poker and casino market all together before the US government issues regulations for the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act. Players now await a press release by Neteller to see what their plans are.

Compatiblepoker believes the next step will be for the US government to stop online gambling at the e-check level. Many believe a "code" will be tacked onto checks similar to the way credit cards work in stopping online gambling deposits.

More US online poker and casino news will continue to be blogged and reported at www.compatiblepoker.com/usa.php
