New Horizons Worldwide, Inc., the world's largest independent IT training provider, today announced that it is celebrating its twenty-fifth year providing innovative learning solutions that transform businesses and help individuals reach their career goals. Over the last twenty-five years New Horizons has grown to be the global leader in the industry and is responsible for pioneering learning methods that have permanently changed the IT training landscape.
New Horizons was founded as a one-classroom facility in 1982 and now exceeds 280 training centers in 56 countries. In 1982, New Horizons offered desktop applications training via traditional classroom training. Today, New Horizons has evolved its training offering to include Information Technology, Professional Skills, Healthcare, English Language as well as applications courses through multiple formats and delivery methods including traditional Classroom Learning, On-Site Learning, Online LIVE Learning, Online ANYTIME Learning and our newest delivery method, Mentored Learning.
"I am proud to celebrate this landmark achievement as it represents our resilience in an ever-changing industry as well as the impact we have had on the lives of our more than twenty-five million students," said Mark Miller, New Horizons president and chief executive officer. "I credit this milestone to our unique ability to create innovative solutions for our clients that maximize employee skills, giving our customers a competitive edge, and our consumer programs that give our students a professional advantage."
As a natural extension to its successful domestic training programs, New Horizons has continued to aggressively expand its international presence. New Horizons opened its first international center in Mexico City, Mexico in 1993. Other regions of the world quickly followed with openings in Asia Pacific, Africa and the Middle East in 1994. In 2000, New Horizons added fifty new locations in one year and opened its one-hundredth international location in Frankfurt, Germany. Today, New Horizons continues to open new centers in every region of the world, successfully adapting products and programs to suit the needs of local markets.
"It has been a great twenty-five years but we don't plan to rest on the accomplishments that have made us the largest IT training provider in the world," said Tim Kleczka, New Horizons senior vice president of operations. "The technology evolution has not shown any signs of slowing down and New Horizons hasn't either. We will continue to develop innovative and flexible learning solutions, such as Mentored Learning, that enable our clients to keep pace and obtain full value from their technology investments."
