Students Continuing Education Find Help from WorldWideLearn.com's Online Advisor

WorldWideLearn.com's online education advisor, Clare Kaufman, Ph.D., offers non-traditional students crucial advice to help them continue their education. According to the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES), over 30 million men and women have some college education, and Dr. Kaufman regularly answers questions for these and other non-traditional students who may be wondering if it's possible to transfer earned credits or take online classes to fulfill original program requirements.

(PRWeb) January 12, 2007 -- With 31.8 million men and women with unfinished college degrees, WorldWideLearn.com and its online education advisor, Clare Kaufman, Ph.D., are helping these former students to continue their education online. The National Center for Education Statistics (NCES) states that 31.8 million men and women 25 years and older have some college education, and Dr. Kaufman regularly advises both traditional and non-traditional students so that they can get the answers they need to questions about credit transfer and online classes (http://www.worldwidelearn.com/education-advisor/archive.php#officehours). Anyone is allowed to submit a question for advice by email.

"Students don't have to take no for an answer when transfer credits are turned down. If a student's completed course work and syllabus cover the same material as the course he or she is asked to take, the student can argue that transfer credit be granted," comments former university professor and WorldWideLearn.com correspondent Wendy Croix, Ph.D.

Dr. Kaufman responds to questions generated by both non-traditional and traditional students visiting the Web site. Some of the topics posted under Kaufman's "Office Hours" section include "Choosing an Online Bachelor's Degree Program," "Transferring Credits," and "School Financing Options for International Students." Students who have completed only part of their degree requirements are more likely to advance in their careers and increase their income by completing their degree. The NCES reveals that the median income for individuals with some college and no degree is $30,610. A bachelor's degree fetches a median income of $42,087 per year.
