(www.4hazmat.com), the nation's leading dedicated hazmat emergency response company, today announced a new program to help monitor and reduce the number of tractor trailer accidents and the resulting human, environmental and public safety concerns.HMHTTC is offering the "Safe Driver Initiative®" (SDI) at no cost to all trucking companies. Companies may enroll in the program by calling HMHTTC's safety department at 1-800-927-9337.
As part of the SDI initiative, all HMHTTC emergency response managers -- who are highly trained in safety protocol and log more than two million miles annually in their emergency response vehicles -- will notify HMHTTC's safety department of any observed unsafe driving activities by tractor trailer drivers. Once notified, HMHTTC will make a courtesy call to the trucking company's safety department, making them aware of the incident, including the vehicle unit number, location and time of day.
