Covalent Technologies, a leading provider of support services for open source projects out of the Apache Software Foundation, and Pramati Technologies, a breakthrough vendor of J2EE application servers and solutions, today announced a strategic alliance to take Apache support and J2EE technology consulting solutions to enterprise customers.
The non-exclusive partnership is aimed at delivering higher value and usability to customers by jointly offering Covalent open source solutions with Pramati technology consulting services around middleware solutions and open source frameworks.
Under the terms of agreement, Covalent will promote Pramati's MiddlewareWorks services in the Asian and North American marketplace while Pramati will market and distribute Covalent open source solutions to its enterprise customers in the Asian region. Additionally, Pramati will enhance value to Covalent customers through its MiddlewareWorks technology consulting services - spanning performance, scalability, clustering and technology adoption. This consulting division of Pramati builds on its experience working with ISVs and large enterprise clients of Pramati, bringing the string technology, server internals and systems perspective to a broader J2EE solution space across multiple application servers and platforms (www.middlewareworks.com).
