Gumiyo Launches Innovative Way to Post and Find Classified Ads from Mobile Phones, Email, or Web Browsers.

The new site helps connect buyers and sellers natively through mobile devices to become the first consumer-to-consumer mobile commerce platform.

Woodland Hills, CA (PRWeb) February 20, 2007 -- Gumiyo (http://www.gumiyo.com) announced today the early release of its new classified ad Web site that allows users to easily publish and search classifieds entirely from mobile devices. The Gumiyo service allow users to capture pictures and video clips from their mobile phones, attach them to a standard multimedia messages (MMS) containing an ad description, and submit them to Gumiyo for optimization and publication. In addition, the ads are privately and securely associated with the seller's mobile phone number thereby creating new opportunities for a buyer to immediately contact the seller.

Further increasing the power of a Gumiyo ad, users are also able to submit ads in the form of basic text emails with picture attachments or through Gumiyo's simple Web interface. By integrating mobile phone, email, and web browser methods, Gumiyo provides sellers and buyers with multiple channels to communicate. Sellers unused to text-messaging can submit their classified ads using the more traditional Web method or email while still exposing their ads to a mobile audience. Sellers can gradually begin integrating their mobile phones into the process without compromising their ads' effectiveness.

"While we focus on connecting buyers and sellers, a major goal for us is to make ad creation extremely quick and easy," says Rich Abronson, Gumiyo's vice president. "Many potential sellers out there find auction sites to be expensive, labor-intensive, and time-consuming. We are allowing any user, consumer or commercial, to list items for sale in just seconds. Using mobile phone cameras and simple text-message descriptions, we help people get their stuff into the online marketplace with minimal effort."

Gumiyo is positioned to fill the space between the complexity of auction sites and the bareness of local classifieds, while increasing the ability for buyers and sellers to connect with each other immediately and securely.

Abronson continues, "Gumiyo allows a seller to publish a media-rich ad and provides an immediate way for potential buyers to contact them directly without revealing phone numbers or email addresses."

In addition to the simplicity of ad submission, Gumiyo will broadcast any seller's listings to many other classified sites including Google Base, Oodle, Edgeio, and others. In fact, a single Gumiyo ad can propagate into as many as 100-150 additional pages or citations throughout the Web. In essence, Gumiyo opens up the entire Internet (mobile and Web) to sellers and buyers alike through a single application.

Founded by Shuki Lehavi and Rich Abronson in Woodland Hills, CA, Gumiyo is committed to revolutionizing the mobile consumer-to-consumer commerce experience.
