Study Finds Fully Integrated Front-Office Solutions Drive Recruiting and Sales Efficiencies

"2007 Staffing and Recruiting Trends." The report is the fourth in a year-long research series Bullhorn sponsored to determine the impact of staffing and recruiting software on the staffing and recruiting industry. This latest research report delineates the key findings of market research surveys conducted during Q4 2006, as well as the overarching themes found in all four of the Bullhorn-sponsored surveys.

The survey was distributed to more than 63,500 staffing and recruiting industry professionals. The survey results revealed that integration and synchronization of the front office are crucial to improving placement rates. More than half of all respondents reported that having anytime, anywhere access to all client and candidate information would have a substantial impact on placement rates. In addition, 71 percent of all respondents ranked a fully integrated front-office sourcing tool with automated search agents as the most likely way to improve sourcing efficiency.

Industry leaders utilize tools to drive recruiting and sales efficiencies.
•
Almost half of all respondents (43 percent) reported relying on tools other than integrated front-office software to automate their front offices.

Recruiters often revert to familiar tools they feel comfortable with. Although 65 percent of respondents said that Microsoft Outlook makes up half of their candidate management system, this solution is the most likely to cause dissatisfaction of the four most popular software solutions.

A front-office sourcing tool fully integrated with both automated search agents and Microsoft Outlook would be the most welcome innovation.
•
A fully integrated and synchronized front-office solution featuring on-demand, real-time access to client orders, ATS, search agents and job boards is viewed as the best available system.
•
Sourcing new candidates and securing new business are the top priorities for staffing and recruiting professionals, followed by improving placement rates.
•
59 percent of respondents said that referrals are their most effective method for sourcing candidates, while 54 percent said classified ads are the least effective sourcing method.
