iO(TM) Global's Central Intelligence Platform Enables Cross-Content Interoperability Without Costly Integration

Barcelona, Spain

iO(TM) global today announced its Central Intelligence Platform(TM) (CIP) for Mobile Operators. This off-the-shelf solution significantly expands mobile operators' mobile content propositions and their resulting potential revenue. The iO(TM) CIP for Mobile Operators is the first of its kind available in the market today.

At present, most mobile operators manage the expansion of their content catalogues through many different content delivery platforms. For example, music may be managed from one platform, video from another, simpler and more static content from a third, and so on. For the mobile operator this significantly diminishes their flexibility to offer cross-platform content propositions to suit consumer preferences or lifestyle needs.

As the mobile operator expands their portfolio with different types of content, there is a resulting increase in OPEX, management complexity and scalability challenges. In addition this creates a difficult and time-intensive content discovery and access experience for the consumer. Therefore, it becomes impossible to capture a unified profile of consumer preferences, or usage patterns. Previously the solution has been either costly integration which impacts content service flexibility and scalability, or a disruptive rip-and-replacement of individual content platform silos with a single platform.

iO(TM) CIP for Mobile Operators enables content propositions to extend across individual in-place content management and delivery silos, without the need to incur integration or infrastructure costs, nor the need to replace existing content management platforms. Quite simply, iO(TM) CIP offers mobile operators the flexibility and scalability to serve an ever more diverse set of consumers with a broader portfolio of content service bundles.

"iO CIP is unique in that it is a commercially available solution to what could be a costly and integration-intensive effort for mobile operators to scale their mobile content revenues," said Jon Barrett, iO(TM) VP Operations. "iO CIP extends the existing investment in content management systems, broadening the revenue opportunities through a more holistic fulfillment of their customers' on-the-run needs."

iO(TM) CIP for mobile operators provides a central point of access to content and therefore a unified consumer profiling capability. Enabling content to be seen and managed irrespective of content type - i.e. both digital and physical content assets, applications, services or advertising. This is all possible independent of where the content resides, who delivers it, or the device to which it will be delivered (mobile, PC, TV). With this unified consumer profile, much more compelling and higher value-added content propositions can be created by the mobile operator alone, or in partnership with an ecosystem of consumer service constituents.

"iO CIP enables mobile operators to shift their mobile content storefronts from individual content products to cross-content bundles, better serving individuals' mobile lives," commented Cristian Parrino, iO(TM) Chief Marketing Officer. "With CIP's unified profiling, mobile operators can increasingly turn those bundles into ever more personalized services, aligned to individuals' preferences and on-the-run activities."

iO(TM) CIP for mobile operators is available through a managed service offering. This offering is part of iO(TM) Mobile Experience Solutions, the most comprehensive infrastructure to support individuals' on-the-run activities and preferences.

This infrastructure views the individual's mobile device as their personal "remote control" to learn, play, shop, share, plan, think, be entertained, or to just simply relax. iO(TM) CIP can be complemented by iO(TM)'s consumer experience consulting services that provide mobile operators additional expertise in the design and development of cross-content service bundles aligned with consumer lifestyle demands.
