Online Recruitment Seminars Attract UAE's HR Community

Over two hundred delegates from Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah debate optimal use of the Internet in recruiting top talent.

Dubai, UAE (PRWeb) April 2, 2007 -- A series of training seminars on online recruitment are being held across the three main cities of the UAE this week, attracting more than two hundred recruitment and human resource managers representing the country's top government and private sector employers.

The events, organised by Dubai-based online recruitment company, GulfTalent.com, are aimed at educating business leaders and HR practitioners on ways to maximise their use of the internet for recruiting professionals.

The series started in the UAE with two parallel seminars held in Crowne Plaza Hotel, Abu Dhabi on April 1, followed by three training seminars held on April 2nd in Emirates Towers, Dubai, and a final session scheduled for April 3rd at Sharjah's Millennium Hotel.

The seminars have been heavily oversubscribed and fully booked from several days before the event, with some requests for participation having to be declined by organisers due to capacity constraints.

Participants in the seminar included representatives from a cross-section of UAE firms - including a number of leading banks and financial services institutions, as well as companies active in construction, oil and gas, retail, logistics and telecommunications. Participating companies included multinational firms, prominent UAE groups as well as leading government organisations.

One speaker at the seminar noted that "With over 50% of the UAE population now online, employers who fail to leverage the full power of the internet in recruiting, risk losing out in the war for talent."

The seminars cover an overview of the recruitment industry, benefits of recruiting online, strategic requirements for companies interested in recruiting on the internet, as well as the future of e-recruitment. They also highlight a range of best practice methods for companies wishing to maximise their return on investment from online recruitment - including strategies for recruiting UAE nationals online.

The UAE events are part of a series of online recruitment training seminars being conducted by GulfTalent.com throughout eight major cities of the Gulf Cooperation Council. Similar events by the company were held in Kuwait, Manama and Doha during February and March 2007. The final seminars in the series are scheduled to run in the key Saudi cities of Riyadh, Jeddah and Dammam in May 2007.

GulfTalent.com is the Middle East's leading Internet recruitment portal for experienced professionals, providing employers in the UAE and elsewhere in the GCC with an online platform for recruiting mid-level and senior staff.
