Inertia Beverage Group Names Allan O. Hunter to Board of Directors

Leading provider of web-based direct sales technology to the wine industry adds Rent.com founder Allan O. Hunter to Board of Directors.

NAPA, CALIF. (PRWEB) April 19, 2007 -- Inertia Beverage Group (IBG) announces today the addition of Allan O. Hunter to their board of directors. This latest announcement comes on the heels of a major capital investment by Allegis Capital and Sid R. Bass Associates and the recent roll-out of Inertia's groundbreaking direct-to-trade system that allows clients to present their wines to restaurants, retailers and consumers, in an online, fully-compliant environment.

Mr. Hunter is perhaps best known in high-tech circles as the co-founder of Rent.com, the nation's largest apartment Internet Listing Site (ILS). After founding the company in 1999, he served as President and was a member of the board of directors until the private company was acquired by Ebay in 2005 for $433 million.

"Allan's keen understanding of e-commerce allowed him to build one of the most successful online businesses in recent years," says Inertia CEO Paul Mabray. "This kind of brain power is exactly what we need to help us fulfill our goal of being the engine that fuels the expansion of the direct wine sales channel."

Previous, to founding rent.com, Hunter was chief operating officer and co-founder of Oasis Residential, Inc., a real estate investment trust (REIT) traded on the New York Stock Exchange. Hunter is a past director of the National Multi-Housing Council, and is a past member of the National Association of Real Estate Investment Trusts (NAREIT) and the Urban Land Institute (ULI). In addition to his role at IBG, Hunter currently serves on the board directors of Sendio, Inc. (Irvine, CA), Clinical Research Advantage, Inc. (Phoenix, AZ), and Black Gaming, Inc. (Mesquite, NV); as well as being an advisory board member of Level One LLC (Greenville, SC). Hunter received his BA in Economics from University of California at Davis and his MBA in Finance and Accounting, from the University of Pennsylvania (Wharton). He currently lives in Newport Beach, CA with his fiancée, Tiffany Louise Smith.
