A Wedding Party Where No Bride is Too Wild

VAIN's Offbeat Bridal Wedding Shower, May 19th 2007, 2-6pm FREE, Seattle, WA

Seattle, WA (PRWEB) April 17, 2007 -- As engaged couples across Seattle know, wedding season is almost upon us -- and for the Northwest's growing numbers of non-traditional brides, the looming season means something slightly different. With these nontraditional brides in mind, Seattle's Vain Salon has joined forces with local writer Ariel Meadow Stallings, author of Offbeat Bride: Taffeta-Free Alternatives For Independent Brides, To host a free afternoon of nontraditional primping, wedding planning advice, sweets and prizes for local brides. The free event will take place between 2 and 6pm on Saturday, May 19th at Vain's Belltown salon at 2018 1st Avenue in Seattle.

Vain's top stylists will give offbeat brides complimentary wild wedding updos while VAIN makeup artist Christine Cherbonnier provides free 15-minute makeup consultations. Offbeat Bride author Ariel Meadow Stallings will be providing one-on-one bridal therapy, helping with those tough wedding planning issues from "How do I build my ceremony if we're skipping rings?" to "How will I deal with the really wasted guests at my reception?"

In addition to sparkling beverages and a cupcake tree, there will be goodies bags for the first 50 brides through the door, and hourly bouquet tosses with the winners taking home "F!@% Taffeta" Offbeat Bride t-shirts and complimentary beauty products from Vain. There will be no frilly lace doilies or talk of etiquette, and no bride is too wild!
