Sean Brasel, executive chef at Touch Restaurant in Miami comes to New York's Dizzy's Club Coca-Cola at Jazz at Lincoln Center to feature highlights from his menu from the James Beard House.
New York (PRWeb) April 13, 2007 -- Dizzy's Club Coca-Cola, the glamorous New York Jazz Club at the Times Warner Center overlooking Central Park, will experience a culinary golden touch April 26 through 29, when Sean Brasel, the executive chef and co-owner of Touch Restaurant in Miami Beach, FL lends his talent to the club as a complement to the Samba Jazz & Music of Jobim performances. Brasel will present highlights from his April 25 "Miami When It Sizzles" dinner at the James Beard House with a special menu (available in addition to Dizzy's regular à la carte menu) showcasing the luxurious sensuality of the "modern influenced grill" cuisine at his South Beach hotspot.
Brasel's menu for Dizzy's Club Coca-Cola - designed to be experienced as either individual dishes ranging from $9 for the appetizer and dessert to $27 for the entrée or as a three-course prix fixe at $40 - will feature dishes representing the southwestern and Latin American inflections for which he is known: Key West pink shrimp, sweet potato curry soup, baby frisée, micro arugula and endive crostini; prosciutto-wrapped porcini dusted pan fried Florida grouper, buttermilk risotto cake, spicy clam broth and tomato concassé; and Jackfruit bread pudding spring rolls, Venezuelan chocolate and orange crème brûlée, and Florida tangerine salad .
The presentation of a touch of Touch Restaurant at the acclaimed Jazz at Lincoln Center venue is the result of a partnership between Great Performances, the leading catering and events company, and the James Beard Foundation which was forged during the summer of 2006. It was created to enable some out-of-town chefs performing at the James Beard House to extend their New York City runs with special culinary presentations at one cafes Great Performances operates in prestigious cultural institutions throughout the city. Thus giving the chefs additional exposure to the New York market and offering an opportunity for more New Yorkers to sample their gastronomic skills.
Sean Brasel's menu will be available Thursday, April 26 to Sunday, April 29 in conjunction with the sizzling sets by Samba Jazz & Music of Jobim, from 6:00 p.m. to midnight on Thursday, 6:00
