Shocking Diary Reveals How Britain's Temps Have Become a Persecuted Minority

Many temps are being maltreated by bosses and co-workers to the point where they have become an oppressed underclass and persecuted minority, whose plight is largely ignored by society. A new book by Vicky Justine exposes this dark underbelly of the employment market.

West London, UK (PRWeb) April 1, 2007 -- Based on Vicky's experiences as a London temp, her new book exposes the cruel abuse and disrespect which is routinely meted out to a sector of the workforce which has few rights and no champions in high places.

Entitled 'The Highs and Lows of Temping', the book is a painfully honest account of the author's three years of temping for a variety of employers. She gives us a unique behind-the-scenes glimpse of the pettiness, spiteful bullying and poisonous office politics which is part of everyday life for many temps and against which they have little defence.

Vicky believes that mounting market pressures as well as ignorance and insensitivity are causing employers to exploit temps and treat them like second class citizens, as never before.

"Temps make an important contribution to the economy, but you'd never guess from the way they are treated. It's ironic that in a society which talks so much about human rights, here is one minority group whose human rights are being violated on a daily basis."
