Redwood City, California, United States
SEVEN Networks today announced that more than 100,000 subscribers signed up for its push email services in the quarter April to June 2006. This number of subscribers reflects the accelerating rate of adoption of SEVEN's push email services worldwide.
SEVEN is currently working with over 100 operator customers, helping some to launch their first push email service, and in more mature regions to bring an operator branded alternative to complement existing options. This steady stream of operator product launches, combined with broad device availability, continuously accelerates SEVEN's adoption rate every quarter.
Increasingly operators are pre-installing or embedding the SEVEN's software on new mobile devices like the HTC Star Trek, the Motorola Q, the Nokia E61, the Palm Treo 700, the Samsung M500 and the Sony Ericsson M600. This provides an effective discovery and simple set-up process for the end user, with proven take-up rates up to 35%.
"There is only one real indicator of success in the market; the number of subscribers of our services. Only SEVEN and Research-in-Motion are prepared to publish subscriber numbers and our second quarter figures further differentiate SEVEN and establish the company as the clear market leader for white-label push email," said Paul Hedman, Chief Operating Officer, SEVEN. "A key part of SEVEN's growth is due to our ongoing investment in the operators, as our success is intertwined with that of our customers. Using our extensive experience, we are helping operators build profitable push email services from launch to mass market adoption in every continent, and this proven track record continues to position us as the partner of choice for the world's operators."
A further factor in SEVEN's rapid growth is due to its flexibility. The service is accessible on more mobile devices than any other push-email provider. SEVEN's software is now available on over 200 different devices, up from 120 just six months ago. It is also available across the widest number of operating platforms including BREW, J2ME, Windows Mobile, Palm OS and Symbian-based phones.
"The ever increasing rate of adoption for push email services is great news for SEVEN and its operator customers. The market outlook is very positive, and our success is testament to our operator centric business model. SEVEN remains focused on delivering great technology to end users and helping our operator customers to make a significant contribution to the average revenue per user (ARPU) and customer loyalty," concludes Hedman.
