All Liquid Products Bought in Aeroports de Paris Duty Free Shops Are Allowed on Board of Aircraft

Paris, France

As of 6th November 2006, and from that date only, the new security measures decided by the European Commission will be applicable in all European airports.

Passengers wishing to carry on liquids, pastes, gels, creams and aerosols exceeding 100 ml will have to buy them in duty free shops. In some cases, their purchases will be placed by sales personnel of Boutiques Aeroports de Paris in transparent sealed plastic bags.

Aeroports de Paris, the company managing Paris-Orly and Paris-Charles de Gaulle airports, is already preparing the implementation of these new security rules with all its partners.

To facilitate the application of these new measures, Aeroports de Paris invites passengers to visit its website for more information:

The new measures are explained on the home page (An infographic, useful guidelines and a "question-answer" sheet are available online).

Useful guidelines from Aeroports de Paris

1- Arrive early. Aeroports de Paris invites passengers to come earlier to the airport to proceed with the new security measures.

2- To carry liquids, pastes, gels, creams and aerosols without restriction, two solutions are possible:

-- place these items in hold baggage

-- buy these items in the airport duty-free shops

3- To carry liquids, pastes, gels, creams and aerosols bought outside airport duty-free shops: use a 20cm X20 cm transparent re-sealable freezer-type plastic bag of a capacity not exceeding one litre and take into account the quantity restrictions. (cf. infographic below)

4- Be informed. Aeroports de Paris also invites passengers to contact their airlines for more information and to visit its website www.aeroportsdeparis.fr.
